Cary v. The King, 1 Jefferson's Memorandum Books 50 (1968),[1] was a case in which Thomas Jefferson worked with George Wythe for the defendant, Archibald Cary, with Wythe as the principal.

May 3. Archibd. Cary (Chesterfield) ads. the King. The def. is sued as security for the late treasurer. To defend him. Wythe principal. I am to draw Special pleas for Cary and Braxton.[2]
