George Wythe writes to John Randolph for information about a case between the Attorney General and Twitty. An inscription signed J.R., likely John Randolph, notes the possible location of the paper. It is included in italics below with question marks added to words that are not clearly legible in the original writing.

Be pleased, Sir, to let me know if you have the bills with cases of the attorney general against Twitty and others. I understand they are not in the secretary's office. A person considerably affected by one of the writs, hath come to town to inquire about, and to learn what progress hath been made in the matter
