==Evidence for Inclusion in Wythe's Library==

Listed in the [[Jefferson Inventory]] of [[Wythe's Library]] as "Ca. Temp. Talbot. fol." and given by [[Thomas Jefferson]] to [[Dabney Carr]]. The precise edition owned by Wythe is unknown. Folio editions were published in 1741, 1742, and 1753.<ref>''English Short Title Catalog'', http://estc.bl.uk, search of "Time" and "Talbot" reveals three folio editions.</ref> [http://www.librarything.com/profile/GeorgeWythe George Wythe's Library]<ref>''LibraryThing'', s.v. The Brown Bibliography<ref>Bennie Brown, "The Library of George Wythe of Williamsburg and Richmond," (unpublished manuscript, 2009, rev. 2023) Microsoft Word document (on file at the Wolf Law Library, William & Mary Law School).</ref> lists the 1753 edition in part based on the existence of that edition in Jefferson's library.<ref>E.
